Trail Network

The Green Lake area has close to 150km of trails for public use. These trails are maintained by snowmobile club volunteers and it expected that all off-road enthusiasts will help to avoid damage, misuse and littering.

Summer use

The snowmobile trails are open for use by all off road vehicles until the snow reaches a depth of 8cm. At this depth the trails are groomed for snowmobile use only. Pipeline officials recently announced, "it was illegal to quad on the pipeline right-of-way and they were going to start charging trespassers." Similarly, Conservation Officers along with Forestry Patrols are enforcing the regulations regarding having liability insurance when riding ATVs on Crown Land.

Camping

Green Lake Park is made up of 4 campgrounds: Arrowhead, Blue Spring, Emerald Bay and, Sunset View. The other 6 areas: Black Bear, Boyd Bay, Buckside Hill, Green Lake Islands, Little Arrowhead and Nolan creek are designated as Class “A” parks, dedicated to the preservation of their natural environments for the inspiration, use and enjoyment of the public. Other than Little Arrowhead these areas are unmaintained, and users are requested to avoid damage and littering.
